Hey Siri!

Siri is a virtual assistant that is part of Apple. It works on iPhones, iPads, iMacs, Apple TVs and more smart devices. It uses voice queries, focus-tracking and a natural-language user interface to answer questions, make recommendations, and perform actions by delegating requests to a set of Internet services. With continued use, it adapts to users’ individual language usages, searches and preferences, returning individualized results.

Siri supports a wide range of user commands, including performing phone actions, checking basic information, scheduling events and reminders, handling device settings, searching the Internet, navigating areas, finding information on entertainment, and being able to engage with iOS-integrated apps. Siri now can operate more app than you think, including third-party messaging apps, as well as payments, ride-sharing, and Internet calling apps. With the release of iOS 11, Apple updated Siri’s voice and added support for follow-up questions, language translation, and additional third-party actions.

• Control your home with Siri. Ask Siri to turn on lights, adjust the thermostat and control the products that you use in your home, even when you’re not there.
• Let your voice be the on/off switch. Siri knows which HomeKit accessories have been set up in the Home app, as well as their status. Siri can identify your accessories by their names, location and other details that you’ve added to them in the Home app. And if you’ve set up a HomePod, Apple TV or iPad as a home hub, you can use Siri to control your home from just about anywhere.
• You can ask Siri to access media from popular platforms like Spotify, Apple Music or Netflix.
• You can ask Siri for the news, to show you your upcoming appointments, or even to dim your lights if you have a compatible smart home system.
